2. The petitioners seek issuance of pattas in respect of the petition mentioned premises.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the request of the petitioners cannot be accepted. This is because they are occupying objectionable poramboke. The land occupied by the petitioners has been classified as "Allikulam Kanmoi". The petitioners appear to be encroached on the bund. The counter affidavits have been filed to that effect. He would further state that in the year 2015 memo was served on the petitioners in this 5/7
regard. The stand of the respondents is not controverted. When the character of the land occupied by the petitioners is the bund of the water body, then this Court will not be justified in directing the Tahsildar, Ramanathapuram Taluk to consider the petitioners' request.
