O RDER This Writ Petition is filed for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant permission for staging the demonstration on 20.08.2023 in front of Dinamani Theatre, Munichalai, Madurai. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though he has requested the respondent Police to grant permission for conducting demonstration on 20.08.2023, the respondent Police have granted permission for conducting demonstration on 19.08.2023, for which the petitioner has no objection. Therefore, according to the petitioner, the cause does not survive, hence, requested for withdrawal of this petition.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents, on the other hand, submitted that permission has not been granted so far for staging dharna even on 19.08.2023 and it is under consideration. 4.The learned counsel for the intervenor submitted that the concerned Police have granted permission to them for conducting conference on 20.08.2023 and the petitioner, with an intention to disturb the said conference, 2/4
has filed an application seeking permission to conduct demonstration on 20.08.2023 itself.
5.Since the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents reported this Court that permission has not been granted to the petitioner for conducting demonstration on 20.08.2023 and that granting permission on 19.08.2023 is also under consideration and since the learned counsel for the petitioner has reported that he intends to withdraw this Writ Petition, as permission is granted on 19.08.2023, the cause does not survive. Accordingly, the petitioner is permitted to withdraw this petition. 6.In view of the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. 18.08.2023 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No Yuva 3/4
