:Contemnors/Respondents No.1 & 2 PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondent for the willful and deliberate disobedience to the orders of this Court made in W.P.(MD) No.4400 of 2021, dated 04.03.2021.

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue appropriate Writs, Orders or Directions and in particular issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle interest at the rate of 18 per cent per annum for the belated payment of petitioners terminal benefits including Gratuity, Terminal Leave Salary, Provident Fund and Commuted value of pension from the date of his retirement to till the date on which the said benefits were settled to him.

ORDER

Alleging non-compliance of the orders of this Court in W.P.(MD) No.4400 of 2021, dated 04.03.2021, the petitioner has filed this contempt petition.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Counsel for the respondents submitted that the orders of this Court has been complied with. Learned Counsel for the petitioner though endorsed the said submission, raised certain objection with regard to the calculation of interest for the commutation amount. Therefore, he prayed for a direction to the respondents to furnish the copy of the calculation memo arrived by them. 3.In view of the aforesaid submission, this contempt petition stands closed. However, the respondents Corporation shall furnish a copy of the calculation memo arrived by them to the petitioner and the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the same, if so advised.
