ORDER

Today, when the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is no more and therefore, he is not in a position to get instructions from the legal heirs of the petitioner.

2. This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the respondent to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's occupation in Survey No.327/1A, situated at Thamaraipatti Village, Madurai District, by considering his representation dated 21.01.2015.

3. The respondent appears to have rejected the request of the petitioner for grant of electricity service connection since there is a civil suit in O.S.No.81 of 2014 pending between the petitioner and the 2/4

Government.

4. Considering the relief sought for in the writ petition and also considering the fact that the petitioner is no more, this writ petition is closed. However, liberty is granted to the legal heirs of the petitioner to work out their remedy in O.S.No.81 of 2014 and after succeeding in the Suit, they shall apply for electricity service connection before the first respondent. No costs.
