Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to instruct third respondent to call the petitioner for interview for the post of Office Assistants in the third respondent office, by considering his application, dated 13.03.2018 and pass orders.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing respondents 1 and 2 to instruct the 3rd respondent to call the petitioner for interview for the post of Office Assistant in the office of the latter by considering his representation dated 13.03.2018.

2. Mr. Manikkam, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents has filed a counter, wherein he states that the Selection Committee assigned to scrutinize applications, found the application of the petitioner defective, for the reason that he had not enclosed the 8th Standard marksheet and he had also not affixed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. His application had thus come to be rejected and the question of calling upon him for interview does not therefore arise. In any event, he would state that there is no vacancy to accommodate the petitioner at this juncture.

4. Faced with the aforesaid factual matrix, the learned counsel for the petitioner has no response. This writ petition is thus dismissed. No costs.
