ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2020, requesting mutation of the revenue records in respect of the property comprised in Survey Nos. 7/1B and 7/2, measuring an extent of 1.34 hectares, situated in Villur-I Revenue Village, Kallikudi Taluk, Madurai District, within a stipulated time.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.P.Ponraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, the subject property originally belonged to her mother-in-law, Irulayee Ammal, who passed away on 07.01.1999. The petitioner's husband, Ramasamy, who was the only son of Irulayee Ammal, had predeceased her on 19.09.1997. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 12.02.2020, seeking mutation of the revenue records in her favour and in favour of her children, who are all legal heirs. However, the said representation has not been considered, and hence, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the petitioner has not submitted any online application and therefore, her request has not been considered.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the petitioner is directed to submit a proper online application seeking mutation of the revenue records within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On production of the acknowledgement, the second respondent is directed to consider the online application of the petitioner and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks, after issuing notice to the petitioner, and other interested parties.
