The learned counsel who filed the writ petition is no more.

2. I went through the averments set out in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition. The prayer is sought against Federal Bank. As held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the decision reported in (2003) 10 SCC 733 (Federal Bank Ltd., V. Sagar Thomas), a writ petition against a scheduled bank is not maintainable. The parties have to adjudicate their dispute before the jurisdictional civil Court.

3. With this liberty to the petitioners, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
