(Judgment of the Court was delivered by V.BHAVANI SUBBAROYAN, J.) This writ appeal is directed against the order of the learned single Judge passed in W.P.(MD).No.15888 of 2012, dated 21.01.2013.

2. The appellant and the second respondent are the respondents in W.P.(MD).No.15888 of 2012 filed by the first respondent herein / writ petitioner. The first respondent herein filed the writ petition seeking to declare the non-selection of the first respondent by the proceedings of the appellant dated 05.12.2012 as illegal and null and void and consequently direct the appellant and the second respondent to appoint the respondent in the post of B.T.Assistant, Maths with consequential benefits.

3. The learned single Judge of this Court disposed of the writ petition by observing that if there are vacancies remaining unfilled, the Teachers Recruitment Board may address a letter to the Government for the evaluation of equivalence of degrees, such as the one obtained by the petitioner. Upon receipt of such a request from the Recruitment Board, the Government may constitute 2/4

an Equivalence Committee and take a decision within a period of twelve weeks. Challenging the same, the present writ appeal has been filed by the Teachers Recruitment Board.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the first respondent/writ petitioner would submit that as per the order of this Court, dated 21.01.2013, an Equivalence Committee was constituted and the respondent/writ petitioner has been accommodated in one of the post and nothing survives in this writ appeal for further adjudication.

5. Recording the above said submissions, this Writ Appeal is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. [V.B.S.,J.] [K.K.R.K.,J.] 21.02.2024 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No NCC : Yes/No akv 3/4
