Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's son namely Vengatesh Pandiyan aged about 29 years old or his body before this Court and set him at liberty based on the petitioner's complaint dated 19.09.2022.

The father of the detenu has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition to produce the body of his son, who went missing from 15.05.2022 onwards.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, based on the instructions received from the respondent police, submitted that a complaint was given by the petitioner and a man missing FIR was registered in Crime No.147 of 2022 on 16.08.2022. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the son of the petitioner was working in a private transport Company and he went for a trip on 15.05.2022 and from then onwards, he is missing. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that all efforts are being taken by the respondent police to find the whereabouts of the detenu.
3. In the considered view of this Court, it will suffice if a direction is given to the respondent police to proceed further with the investigation by following the guidelines issued by this Court in K.Sukumari Vs. The Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District, Virudhunagar, reported in 2018 (2) - L.W. (Crl) - 636. The respondent police shall take all efforts to find the whereabouts of the detenu and inform to the petitioner.
4. This Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
