Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission for conducting the State level flood light Kabadi tournament for women and the said event to be held on 27.11.2021 and 28.11.2021 at 12.00 p.m. at Kalaignar Thidal, Aathanoor Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2021, submitted before the respondents.

O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner wants to conduct the petition mentioned Kabadi tournament. It is stated that there is no communal angle. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)NO.20913 OF 2021 Though the respondents are hesitating to grant the permission sought for in view of the prevailing pandemic, this Court can take judicial notice of the fact that normalcy has substantially returned. This Court has now been granting permission to conduct similar events. The petitioner need not be denied relief.

3. Therefore, the third respondent is directed to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the petition mentioned event. It is of course open to the third respondent to stipulate appropriate conditions to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.

4. This writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
