PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India, to direct the learned Rent Controller / III Additional District Munsif Court at Tiruchirappalli, to decide and dispose of the R.C.O.P.No.216 of 2001 within the time fixed by this Court.

ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Rent Controller / III Additional District Munsif Court at Tiruchirappalli, to decide and dispose of the petition in R.C.O.P.No.216 of 2001 within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner herein filed a petition in R.C.O.P.No.216 of 2001 under Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Building (Lease and Rent Control) Act (Act No.18 of 1960) against the first respondent and the deceased, viz., C.Muthaiah Nadar and R.Amarnath for fixation of fair rent. The said petition is pending for 24 years.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the learned Rent Controller / III Additional District Munsif Court at Tiruchirappalli, to dispose of the petition in R.C.O.P.No.216 of 2001 within a reasonable time frame to be fixed by this Court.

In such view of the matter, this Court is of the considered opinion that without going into the merits of the case, it would be suffice to issue a direction to the learned Rent Controller / III Additional District Munsif Court at Tiruchirappalli, to dispose of the petition in R.C.O.P.No.216 of 2001 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
