O R D E R

The Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of the young girl, Dhanalakshmi, aged about 20 years complaining that her daughter has been missing.

2. Thereafter, during the previous hearing date, it had come to put knowledge that the daughter of the petitioner had married the fourth respondent and photographs showing them in marital attire had also been produced before the Court.

3. The detenu was produced before us on the previous hearing date on 05.09.2024 and we had an interaction with the her. She 2/6

admitted that she had married the fourth respondent. She also stated that she had completed her II year B.A., in Tamil literature and discontinued her studies. She was studying in Parvathy Arts and Science College at Dindigul.

4. We had therefore, requested Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor to enquire whether the College authorities would be willing to take her back in College to for her to continue her studies and whether the University would also permit such rejoining of the detenu in the course. We are now informed that both the College and the University have given a categorical statement that if the detenu approaches them, they are prepared to admit the detenu to continue her studies in B.A. Tamil literature and this dis-continuation would not be a bar for her to get a degree by the University. But it is stated that the detenu had not come forward to voluntarily join back in College.

5. We have recorded the statements as informed to the Court. No further orders are required in this Habeas Corpus Petition. 3/6
