Heard M/s.R.Karthika, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ghandiraj, learned Special Government Pleader, appears on behalf of all the respondents.
2.The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents, primarily against the third respondent/Tahsildar, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District, to grant patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to the property bearing S.F.No.71/9 (Old Natham S.No.40/3), measuring to an extent of 312 sq.ft, situtated in Marani-Sarukani Group, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD) No.20986 of 2021 3.The petitioner had purchased the property on 12.02.2007. It is claimed that the petitioner has also obtained mutation of the records in other revenue registers, namely, the chitta and also in adangal. The FMB sketch has also been produced as a document along with the plaint. Further, the petitioner made an online application for grant of patta and paid the necessary charges. On receipt of such application, the third respondent is placed under a direction to examine the title of the petitioner, examine other records and thereafter, proceed to comply with the requirements of the said application, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.With the above observations, the Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
