ORDER

The petitioner claims that he has purchased a property situated in Old Survey No.58/3 at Ilayankudi North, to an extent of 51 1⁄2 cents from one Palaniswamy in the year 1995. However, patta has wrongly been issued in the name of one Vasuki. Therefore, he submitted a representation dated 26.06.2023 before the second respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai, to issue patta in his favour. Since there was no action on the said representation, he has filed this writ petition.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for admission, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3. Ms.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3, on written instructions, 2/4

submits that the petitioner's application has been received only on 27.06.2023. Based on the said application, enquiry proceedings has been initiated and the same is not yet over. After the completion of enquiry, necessary orders would be passed.

Considering the fact that based on the petitioner's application, enquiry proceedings has been initiated and the same is yet to be completed, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangi, to conclude the enquiry proceedings and pass necessary orders on the petitioner's application dated 26.06.2023, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
