ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to take appropriate action and disconnect the electricity service connection bearing service connection number 162-006-623 based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.07.2025.

2. The petitioner along with three others, purchased the property under a sale deed dated 19.08.2020, registered as Document No.1509/2020, before the Sub Registrar, Solavandhan.

3. It is submitted that one of the co-purchasers, namely Nachimuthu died as earlly as on 14.09.2020. It is submitted that one Pandi has fabricated the signature of the late.Nachimuthu and has obtained a power connection in the name of the Vinayagar Temple, although the said connection is being utilised in the name of the Seelakari Amman Temple, Karapagam Vinyagar 2/5

4. It is submitted that the said Pandi has colluded with some of the officers of the electricity board and has obtained the power connection by forging the signature of late.Nachimuthu as he already died on 14.09.2020.

5. Considering the same, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to conduct an enquiry and take steps to cancel the power connection if any forgery is noticed. The fourth respondent is independently directed to initiate criminal proceedings if a case is made out against the Pandi.
