ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking permission and police protection to conduct Aadi festival of Sri Irangi Muthamman Temple.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the private respondents are not receiving tax from the petitioner's community people for conducting festival and therefore, they have decided to conduct the festival separately. However the police have not granted permission.

3.The learned Senior Counsel for the respondent No.5 submits that this Court in the last year has passed a detailed order dated 27.09.2024 in WP(MD)No.22654 of 2024. Therefore, he objects to this petition. Further they have not refused to receive donation from the petitioner group.

4.This Court considered the rival submissions made. 5.This Court in WP(MD)No.22654 of 2024 by discussing in detail has passed the order dated 27.09.2025 as under: "12. Considering the above facts and circumstances and also taking note of the fact that the petitioner community have neither referred the rituals to be performed in Sri Irangu Muthamman Temple during Purattasi festival nor obtained permission therefor in the previous years and taking note of the objections raised by the respondent police, this Court is not inclined to grant permission for conducting part of the festival in Sri Irangu Muthamman Temple. But at the same time, the respondent police are directed to give permission to the 3/6

petitoner to conduct Purattasi festival in Sri Pattaththarasi Amman Temple and Ayyanar Temple by considering their representation on or before 28.09.2024 and by imposing necessary conditions.

13. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs."

6.In view of the above order passed by this Court, this court is not inclined to entertain this petition. However, if the petitioner pays donation for the temple festival it shall be accepted by the private respondents. The private respondents shall ensure that everyone is treated equally in the festival.
