For Petitioners : Mr.N.Adithya Vijayalayan For R1 to R3 : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the respondent Police not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry basing on a complaint allegedly given by the fourth respondent to the third respondent Police.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that there are disputes between the petitioners and the fourth respondent in respect of some monetary issues, wherein, the cheque allegedly given by the petitioners was presented in the Bank, even though there were no instructions, wherein, the petitioners allegedly instructed the Bank not to honour the cheque.

3. It is submitted that in respect of the said transaction, the fourth respondent has filed a complaint before the third respondent Police, basing on which, the respondent Police are harassing. It is also submitted that in respect of 2/5

the alleged harassment of the third respondent, a complaint is filed before respondent No.1 / Superintendent of Police on 14.08.2023 and the same is also pending and the petitioners have filed acknowledgement to that extent.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that respondent No.3 Police have not received any complaint allegedly filed before respondent No.1 Police. It is also submitted that respondent No.4 has filed a complaint before the respondent Police and enquiry is being initiated and reported that the disputes between the petitioners and the fourth respondent are purely in respect of the money transaction and submitted that, after the enquiry, the respondent Police will close the enquiry and requested short time to complete the enquiry.

5. Considering the submissions made by both sides and on perusal of records, the respondent Police are directed to initiate the enquiry and complete the same as expeditiously as possible not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
