ORDER
The writ petitioner seeks to consider his claim for grant of patta / assignment in his favour in respect of the unobjectionable Government Dry Tharisu Promboke lands in S.No.311/6 measuring an extent of 0.45.5 ares, S.No.311/7 measuring an extent of 0.44.5 ares and S.No.311/8 measuring an extent of 0.45.5 ares, situated at Ettiyathali revenue village, Nattumangalam Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukottai District. 2.The petitioner would submit that he belongs to Scheduled Caste category and he is living well below the poverty line. The income earned by him is not sufficient to make both ends meet. The scheme house, which has now been allotted to him is very small and there is no property which he owns.
The petitioner would submit that he had come to learn that the Government Authorities were assigning unobjectionable Government Dry Tharisu Promboke lands and the above referred Survey numbers were classified as unobjectionable Government Dry Tharisu Promboke lands. Therefore, he had submitted a representation dated 08.05.2024 for issuance of patta. To-date his application has not been considered. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3.Taking into account of the fact that the respondents are issuing assignment pattas to various categories of persons in respect of unobjectionable Government Dry Tharisu Promboke lands and as above referred survey numbers have been classified so in the revenue records, the representation given by the petitioner may be considered and orders passed thereon either to grant patta or reject his request, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case of rejection, a speaking orders may be passed. Accordingly, this writ petition is allowed. No costs.
