O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 8 to take appropriate action upon the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2019 forthwith and consequently to grant appropriate permission and adequate police protection to celebrate the Puratasi Festival in the petitioner's village temple namely Ayyanar and Karuppasamy Temple, Situated in V.Nariyampatti Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District to the petitioner by taking the deity procession in the North Street of the Petitioner's Village. 2.Heard both sides.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondent No.9 would submit that they are ready to jointly celebrate the Purattasi festival in their village viz., Ayyanar and Karuppasamy Temple, situated at V.Nariyampatti Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District.

4.Considering the above facts and circumstances, the petitioner and the respondent No.9 are directed to submit a fresh representation jointly seek direction to celebrate the Purattasi festival in Ayyanar and Karuppasamy Temple, situated at V.Nariyampatti Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District forthwith. On receipt of the same, the seventh respondent is directed to consider the same and grant permission and also police protection to celebrate the Purattasi festival in Ayyanar and Karuppasamy Temple, situated at V.Nariyampatti Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District.

5.The writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. If the petitioner or the respondent No.9 exceed the limits and violate any condition imposed by the seventh respondent, the seventh respondent is at liberty to take appropriate action as against the petitioner group as well as the respondent No.9 group in accordance with law.
