ORDER
This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission with the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the first respondent and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 2 and 3.

This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the impugned communication No. SCN/1049232803/25, dated 29.05.2025 passed by the first respondent and consequently, direct the first respondent to renew the petitioner's passport bearing No. K8992647 to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's application No. MD2075055352925, dated 20.05.2025.

3. It is informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a holder of a passport bearing No.K8992647 valid for a period between 31.01.2013 and 30.01.2023. The petitioner has filed an application for issuing a fresh passport on 20.05.2025 in No. MD2075055352925.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the second respondent submits that the petitioner was involved in at least four FIRs, as detailed below: S.No.

Crime No.398/2019 before the Shencottai Police Station for the offences under Section 151 of Cr.P.C Action dropped 2.
Crime No.113/2022 before the Shencottai Police Station for the offences under Sections 294, 307, 323 and 506(2) of IPC Pending in S.C.No.546 of 2023 on the file of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Tenkasi. 3.
Crime No.362/2024 before the Perambur Police Station for the offences under Section 305A of BNS Charge sheet filed by way of e-filing before the District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate Court, Tharangambadi.

Crime No.410/2018 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 324 and 506(2) of IPC Charge sheet filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Tharangambadi. But, the same has not been taken on file.
5. In the first mentioned case alone, the action was dropped. Since the charge sheets have been filed in the second, third and fourth mentioned cases, there is no scope of granting any relief to the petitioner at this stage. 3/5
6. However, it is open for the petitioner to move the concerned Court for appropriate orders for the first respondent to process the passport application.
