Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. The petitioner wants the petition-mentioned encroachment to be removed.
3. On instructions from the official respondents, the learned Additional Government Pleader states that survey No.261/2 B4 has been classified as pathway in the revenue record.
4. It is well settled that encroachments on public pathway cannot be permitted. The third respondent is directed to issue notice to the fourth respondent and cause removal of the encroachments from the public pathway. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
