Respondent Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent with regard to consider the representation dated 12.08.2013 appointment of Trustees to Arulmigu Kottai Karuppanasamy Temple, Kanniwadi, Dindigul District and to direct the respondent to appoint the petitioners as Trustees of the said temple in terms of the scheme order passed in O.A.No.36 of 1986 dated 30.10.1987 on the file of the respondent.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 12.08.2013 for appointment of Trustees to Arulmigu Kottai Karuppanasamy Temple, Kanniwadi, Dindigul District, and to direct the respondent to appoint the petitioners as Trustees of the said temple in terms of the scheme order passed in O.A.No.36 of 1986 dated 30.10.1987 on the file of the respondent.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation has been made before the wrong authority and that the same has to be made before the Joint Commissioner, Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Dindigul.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the petitioners are directed to submit their representation before the Joint Commissioner, Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department, Dindigul, who shall on receipt of the representation dispose of the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
