ORDER

This criminal original petition seeking orders to issue a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tirunelveli District, to dispose the case in P.R.C.No.135 of 2021 within a time frame. 1/4

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the case is pending from the year 2021 onwards before the committal Court, case is being adjourned again and again. He has also produced case diary in respect of PRC.No.135 of 2021. 3.It is evident from the case diary that the accused entered into appearance on 24.02.2023 and copies came to be furnished on 19.06.2023 and thereafter, the case is pending for committal. It is further evident that for the past two years, the case has been adjourned for verification of document and for committal proceedings. 4.Since the accused has entered into appearance and copies were furnished to him, this Court is at loss to understand as to why the case is pending without committal to the Sessions Court. Hence, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Tirunelveli District is directed to take necessary steps to commit the case in PRC.No.135 of 2021 to the Sessions Court, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
