Seeking to quash the final report filed by the police before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Karur in C.C.No.62 of 2021, the present Criminal Original Petition is filed.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent police would contend that C.C.No.62 of 2021 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Karur, ended in acquittal on 03.10.2023 and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Criminal Original Petition.
