PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of calling for the records of the 2nd respondent relating to the order in Ref.No.E2/8091/2018, dated 18.08.2018 to quash the same and to issue consequential directions to the respondents to sanction two advance increments to the petitioner from November 2007 for acquiring MBA, PG. Degree qualification in November 2007 and disburse all consequential monetary benefits with 18% interest. ORDER
The petitioner a retired employee of the respondent corporation has made a request on 30.07.2018 after his retirement seeking increment for the master degree obtained by him and the same was rejected by the respondent corporation on 18.08.2018, which is challenged in this writ petition.
2.When the writ petition has been taken up for hearing on 27.08.2024 it was reported before this Court that the petitioner died on 30.08.201. This Court recording the above submission has passed the following order:
"2.It is made clear that if the application is not made available and steps are not taken to bring on record the legal representatives of the deceased petitioner, this writ petition shall stand automatically dismissed as abated on the next date of hearing."

3.Thereafter when the writ petition was taken up for hearing, on 11.12.2024 there was no representation for the petitioner and therefore, it was directed to be listed under the caption for dismissal. 4.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not in a position to contact the legal heirs of the petitioner. 5.Since it is reported that the legal heirs of the petitioner are not traceable, no purpose would be served by keeping this writ petition pending anymore. Accordingly this writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner's legal heirs to file a fresh petition, if they are advised so. No costs.
