ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent herein to resurvey the property situated in Ramanathapuram Town Survey No.54, Old Survey No. 274/5 at Door No. 6, Sri Kaligadevi Amman kovil Street, Velipattinam, Ramanathapuram, by considering his application dated 10.09.2024.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.M.R.Dhamodharan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the petitioner, the subject property was allotted to him under schedule 'E' of the partition deed dated 01.07.1987. The

property situated in Sri Kaligadevi Amman kovil South Street, Velipattinam, Ramanathapuram, and the total extent allotted to the petitioner is 1,198 sq ft. According to the petitioner, as on today, only 1,615 sq.ft is available on the ground. However, in the patta issued to the petitioner by the order of the Zonal Dputy Tahsildar, Ramanathapuram, dated 23.07.2024 in T.R.No:2024/0153/27/001082tb, the name of the street as well as the extent of the property were wrongly mentioned. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 10.09.2024, seeking correction of the street name and the extent of the property. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.09.2024 and pass final orders on

its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
