Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 10.07.2023 for mutation of patta in respect of the landed property to an extent of 12,342 sq.ft comprised in UDR Survey No.791/3A7, New Survey No.902/6 situated at Thottiyapatti, Ponnamaravathi West Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukottai District, in the petitioner's name and in the name of Suresh S/o.Ramasamy and I.Ibrahim S/o.Ismail, within a stipulated time limit. 1/4

ORDER

The petitioner has submitted an application for change of patta on 10.07.2023 and approached this Court that his application has not been considered.

2.Learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that with regard to mutation of records, the revenue officials are entertaining the applications only through online. However, the petitioner has submitted his application through post. In the event if the petitioner submits an online application along with necessary documents, it would be considered within a reasonable time, on its merits. 3.Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh online application for change of patta, within a 2/4

period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, along with required documents. If any such application is made, the first respondent shall consider the same and take a decision thereon, on merits and in accordance with law, within a further period of eight weeks therefrom, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned.

There shall be no order as to costs.
