O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to initiate action basing on a complaint given by the petitioner on 10.08.2023.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that he has filed a petition in respect of theft of cow and calf. However, the Police have not taken any action.

3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondents submits that the complaint given by the petitioner is registered as C.S.R.No.520 of 2023 and they are proceeding with the enquiry. It is further submitted that the petitioner's cow and calf have grassed the standing crop belonging to the neighbouring landholders and they have been seeking for damage with the petitioner and in order to get over the same, the petitioner has filed the complaint before the respondents Police and is not co-operating with the enquiry. 2/4

4. Considering the circumstances, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondents Police on receipt of summons, on which, the respondents Police are directed to dispose of the complaint of the petitioner dated 10.08.2023 within a period of two weeks from the date of appearance.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
