Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents Nos.2 to 5 to survey the land comprised in Survey Nos.292/1A1 and 292/3A1, situated at Uthappuram Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District, based on the petitioner's application No.2025/0123/24/017238 dated 01.07.2025, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to survey the land comprised in Survey Nos.292/1A1 and 292/3A1, in Uthappuram Village, Peraiyur Taluk, Madurai District, by considering his application dated 01.07.2025.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.T.Manikandan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned

Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 5. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the petitioner, the subject property was gifted to him by his father under a gift deed dated 14.05.2025. The patta for the subject property stands in the name of the petitioner, his siblings and his mother in Patta No.3108. The petitioner submitted an application on 01.07.2025 in Application No.2025/0123/24/017238, seeking survey of the subject property. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the application submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 01.07.2025 and pass final

orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, co-pattadhars in Patta No.3108, neighbouring land owners and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
