The petitioner with a grievance that the appeal filed by him on 19.01.2023 has not been taken up for hearing has filed this writ petition.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a cancer patient and a suitable direction may be issued to the respondents to dispose of the appeal at the earliest.

3.Mrs.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents seeks short accommodation to get instructions as to the stage of the appeal. 4.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner and also considering the submission of the petitioner's 2/4

counsel that the petitioner is a cancer patient, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to take a decision on the petitioner's application within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
