Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue Writ of of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to cancel the patta granted in favour of the 6th respondent and to grant patta in the name of Arulmighu Aathikesava Perumal Temple in S.F. No. 12/2 of Velivayal Village, Avudaiyarkovil Taluk, Pudukkottai District on the basis of the petitioners representation dated 07.07.2025 within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 5 to cancel the patta issued in favour of the sixth respondent in respect of the property comprised in S.F. No. 12/2, situated at Velivayal Village, Avudaiyarkovil Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2025.
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.R.Paranjothi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 5. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to the 6th respondent is dispensed with. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, the subject property in S.F. No. 12/2 belongs to Arulmighu Aathikesava Perumal Temple at Velivayal Village, Avudaiyarkovil Taluk, Pudukkottai District, and the patta for the same has been wrongly issued in the name of the sixth respondent. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 07.07.2025 before the official respondents seeking cancellation of the patta issued in favour of the sixth respondent and restoration of the patta in the name of the temple. As the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court.

The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for respondents 1 to 5, submitted that the fourth respondent, in his proceedings No. 2974/2025/A3 dated 14.07.2025, had issued an enquiry notice to the petitioner and the sixth respondent, and that the petitioner's representation will be considered in accordance with the same.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 07.07.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, the sixth respondent and other interested parties.
