O R D E R
This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant patta in respect of the property situated in S.No.428/3, Kotur Village, Thirumayam Taluk, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2024.
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.K.Sakthivel, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, the petitioner's school has been functioning in S.Nos.483/1 and 428/3 in Kottur Village, Thirumayam Taluk from the year 1958. The patta for the land in S.No.483/1 was issued in the name of the petitioner. As far as S.No.428/3 is concerned, patta has not been issued in the name of the petitioner so far. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation on 12.01.2024 before the second respondent seeking issuance of patta in respect of the property situated in S.No.428/3. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner 2/4
has come before this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the matter is under consideration of second respondent as on today and the request of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.01.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
