Prayer in Crl A(MD) No.631 of 2025:- This Criminal Appeal filed under Section 14A of SC/ST (Amendment Act) of 2014 Amendment by 1/2016, praying this Court to set aside the order dated 30.05.2025 in Cr.M.P.No.162 of 2025 on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Special Sessions Court for Exclusive trial of cases under SC/ST (PoA) Act 1989, Sivagangai and enlarge the appellants on bail.
ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming upon for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.K.Dinesh, Advocate for the Appellant and of Mr.K.Gnanasekaran, Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents 1 & 2, this Court made the following order:
"This petition is filed to relax the condition which was imposed on the petitioner in Crl.A.(MD)No.631 of 2025 dated 24.06.2025.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the petitioner has been complying with the condition regularly, without any default.
3. Considering the fact that the petitioner is complying the condition regularly and also taking into consideration of reasons cited by the petitioner in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, I feel that the condition imposed on the petitioner can be modified to a certain extent.
4. Accordingly, the condition already imposed is modified and the petitioner shall appear and sign before the learned Sessions Judge, Special Sessions Court for exclusive trial of cases under SC/ST Act, Sivagangai twice in a month (i.e., on the 1st and 15th of every English Calender month) at 10.30 a.m., till the disposal of the appeal. If 1st and 15 day falls on a holiday, the petitioner shall appear before the above said Court on the next working day."
