Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the second respondent proceedings in Ka.No.VuMiPo/Vada/Come/V.2/Ko.K/Pu.Ma/A.No.893/14, dated 22.12.2014 and quash the same as illegal consequently directing the second respondent to disconnect the electricity connection which is illegally provided to Plot Nos.23 and 24 in Survey No.875/1 situated at Uthamapuram, Cumbum, Theni District.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to quash the order, passed by the second respondent herein, under which the request of the petitioner to disconnect the electricity service connection granted to one Jeyanthi was rejected.

2.According to the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, due to non payment of electricity charges, the service connection effected to the said Jeyanthi has already been disconnected on 19.07.2019 and the accounts have been closed. Since the said Jeyanthi has not applied for restoration of electricity service connection for the past two years, it has been recommended for permanent disconnection also. The submission made by the learned Standing Counsel is recorded. 3.In view of the above, no further orders are called for in the present writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 18.11.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No ta 2/4
