Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the first respondent.

2.What is under challenge in this writ petition is the demand for payment of a property tax on the property in question. But, when the matter was taken up for disposal, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is not the owner of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.4451 of 2015 property and that he is a mere tenant. If that be so, this writ petition has to be dismissed as not maintainable. The petitioner as a tenant cannot question the assessment of the property tax. It is for the owner of the property to question. Therefore, this writ petition is dismissed for not maintainable. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
