For Petitioner :Mr.V.Karuna For R1 & R2 :Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (crl.side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking for a direction to provide adequate protection to the petitioner on a complaint given by her dated 16.08.2023. 2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that even though the petitioner sought for police protection, no action has been initiated. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that during the course of enquiry, the petitioner though appeared two times and an attempt was made to serve summons to the unofficial respondent Nos.3 and 4, they are not present. It is submitted further that the police will make one more attempt basing on which they will complete the enquiry in the petition filed by the petitioner. 4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and on perusal of the records, the respondent police are directed to complete the 2/4

enquiry in respect of the petitioner's representation dated 16.08.2023 as expeditiously as possible, not later than three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case if the respondent police are of the opinion that they require to give protection to the petitioner, necessary protection is directed to be given in favour of the petitioner.
