Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider the rectification petition filed by the petitioner dated 10.10.2014 under Section 84 of the Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax Act, 2006 and pass orders on merit according to law within such time as may be fixed by this Court, after granting to the petitioner an opportunity of personal hearing.

ORDER

The petitioner prays for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the rectification petition, dated 10.10.2014 and pass orders on merits.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader confirms today, on instructions, that the rectification petition filed in terms of Section 84 of the Tamil Nadu Value Added Tax Act, 2006, dated 10.10.2014 is still pending before the respondent.

3. In the light of the confirmation as aforesaid, I am inclined to order of expeditious disposal of the petition seeing as the same has been pending inordinately.

4. A mandamus is issued to the respondent to dispose the rectification petition dated 10.10.2014 filed under Section 84 of the Act within a period of four weeks from today (i.e., 23.07.2019) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

after affording sufficient opportunity to the petitioner in this regard. This writ petition is allowed in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
