ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.05.2025 seeking grant of patta in respect of the property situated in Survey No.196/1, with an extent of 1520 sq.ft, in Allinagaram Village, Theni Taluk, within the time stipulated by this Court.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.D.Venkatesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, he is residing in the subject property by putting up a superstructure for quite long time. It is also stated that the subject land is Panchamar land meant for allotment to the persons
belonging to the depressed classes. The petitioner is also a person belonging to the depressed class. Based on his long possession, the petitioner submitted a representation on 31.05.2025. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.
6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.05.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
