PRAYER:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to sanction stagnation increment to the petitioner as per Wage Revision Amendment Scheme, 2010 and reimburse the tax on car perquisites to the petitioner by consider the representation dated 25.11.2015, 27.07.2016, 04.07.2018 and reminder dated 26.10.2018 .

Petitioner has superannuated on 31.12.2016 as Chief Regional Manager of New India Assurance Company Limited. In this writ petition, he seeks benefits under the Wage Revision Scheme introduced in the year 2010. Having been in service, it was incumbent upon the petitioner to have sought relief in timely fashion.

2. However, the representations have been filed only from 2015 to 2018 and the present Writ Petition has come to be filed on 19.12.2018. I am not inclined to entertain this belated request as a Mandamus cannot be issued in a mechanical fashion and merely for the asking. Moreover, none of the representations filed contain any proof or acknowledgement of receipt by the respondents.

3. For the above reasons, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
