ORDER
The writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order of the 3rd respondent dated 20.07.2023 and to direct the 3rd respondent to appoint the petitioner in a suitable post in the office of the respondents.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents.
3. The petitioner's father, who was working in the 4th respondent society, died in harness on 20.07.2019. Since the petitioner's father was appointed as a permanent staff of the 4th respondent vide order dated 19.05.2001, the petitioner is eligible to be appointed in a suitable post in the respondent society on compassionate ground. Therefore, the petitioner made an application, which was rejected stating that the 2/5
petitioner's father was not a regular employee and his services were not regularized.
4. The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the application of the petitioner was rightly rejected by the respondents on the ground that the petitioner's father was not a regular/permanent employee of the society.
5. In view of the above, the respondents are directed to reconsider the claim of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
