ORDER

The petitioner /A5 in CC No.264 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thottiyam has filed this 1/4

petition for a direction to the trial court to dispose of the case in CC.No.264 of 2022 within a stipulated time.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the case was registered in the year 2020, the final report was filed in the year 2022. However, there is no progress in the trial. Therefore, the petitioner is before this court.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the case is posted to 19.08.2025 for examination of LW1 and LW2.

4.This court considered the rival submissions made. 5.It is unfortunate that an accused has approached this court seeking a direction for concluding a case within a stipulated time. Though the final report was filed in the year 2022, there is no progress in the case. Therefore, the respondent police are directed to produce the witnesses on 19.08.2025 and the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thottiyam is directed to examine LW1 and LW2 on 19.08.2025 and thereafter shall 2/4

endeavour to conclude the trial in CC.No.264 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible.
