ORDER
The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the petition filed by the petitioner dated 07.12.2021 pending on his file.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.S.P.Naveenkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, the property situated in New Survey No.504/39, Old Survey No.504/3, in Vijayanagaram, Navalurkuttapatti Village, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District, belongs to the petitioner under a settlement deed dated 25.09.2011, executed by his father, Mohan.
When the petitioner approached the Village Administrative Officer seeking mutation of revenue records in his name based on the settlement deed, it came to the knowledge of the petitioner that the revenue records stood in the name of the some other persons. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation before the second respondent on 07.12.2021 seeking mutation of revenue records. The same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that pursuant to the application submitted by the petitioner, the second respondent called for the report from the Jurisdictional Tahsildar, in his proceedings in O.Mu.A5/4791/2021, dated 10.12.2021 and the enquiry is pending on his file in e.f.m5/2399/2023 dated 30.04.2024.
5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.12.2021 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the person
in whose name the revenue records stands as on today. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
