The Petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give permission and adequate police 1/4
protection for conducting 'Adal Padal' dance and cultural programme schedule to be held on 04.10.2022 in the eve of Arulmigu "Sree Boothanayaki Amman Temple" Puradasi festival belongs to Paraipatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 20.09.2022. 2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) vehemently opposed the line of argument of the learned counsel for the petitioner stating that the petitioner filed this petition as an individual and there was a clash with regard to the same temple festival between two groups in the year 2019. Therefore, a Peace Committee Meeting was convened by the Tahsildar, Marungapuri, on 15.09.2022. Since the parties had arrived at a compromise, it was decided that the Executive Officer of the temple himself shall conduct the festival. 3.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the Writ Petition is dismissed. The District Collector and the District Superintendent to ensure that there is no law and order problem with regard to the temple festival. No costs.
