..Contemnor/ Respondent No.3 Prayer : This petition is filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Court Act, to initiate appropriate contempt proceedings against the respondent herein for his wilful, wanton and deliberate violation the order dated 31.10.2018 passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.19433 of 2018 and punish the contemnor/respondent. Prayer in CRL OP(MD). 19433/ 2018 :

Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C praying to direct the respondents to take steps under provisions of the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishment) Act 1997 to attach properties of the accused persons in FIR No.3/2017 dated 14.12.2017 on the file of the third respondent.

ORDER

This Contempt petition has been filed to initiate contempt proceedings against the contemnor for his wilful disobedience to the order of this Honourable Court in Crl.O.P(MD) No. 19433 of 2018 dated 31.10.2018 and punish him under the contempt of Court Act.

2. This Court by order dated 31.10.2018 directed the respondent police to take appropriate steps for attachment of the properties and to secure the accused persons in the course of investigation.

Cont.P(MD)No.1607 of 2019 Court and filed a status report, in which, it has been stated that A1 is the Company, A2 is the Managing Director, who is no more, A3 is the wife of A2 and A4 is the brother of A2. A3 was arrested on 12.12.2019 and A4 was arrested on 16.12.2019. The contemnor would submit that sofar 13 properties worth Rs. 1 crore have been identified and they are taking steps to attach 25 properties belonging to A2 and steps are taking through revenue authorities, and the order has been complied with.
