ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a direction to the respondent police to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.07.2023.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel that when the petitioner has given control of construction of house to the proposed accused, by name Palani, he has paid an amount of Rs.4,60,000/-. However, the said Palani has not commenced the construction, thereby the petitioner demanded him to return the money, for which he has threatened the petitioner with dire consequences, on which a complaint is filed on 13.07.2023, but the police have not taken any action and therefore, sought for suitable directions.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) representing the respondent police submits that the complaint dated 13.07.2023 is received as C.No.EAK 23126802/23 from the higher officials and an enquiry is being initiated and requested some time to complete the same.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to complete the enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 13.07.2023 as expeditiously as possible, not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
