ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The impugned order passed by the fourth respondent dated 21.07.2025 is under challenge in the present Writ Petition. 2/6

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that an application was submitted before the District Collector, Madurai and the District Revenue Officer seeking permission to conduct Vadamaadu Manjuvirattu on 07.09.2025.

3.Admittedly, no permission has been granted so far by the District Collector, Madurai and the District Revenue Officer. Therefore, the Inspector of Police, Alanganallur, rejected the application submitted by the petitioner to the police department.

4.In view of the above, this Court does not find any infirmity in the order passed by the Inspector of Police, Alanganallur, since the District Collector is yet to consider the application. Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to pursue the application submitted before the District Collector, Madurai in the manner known to law.

5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
