This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle the balance reimbursement hospital bill of Rs.3,21,514/- by considering the petitioner's fresh representation dated 10.07.2023 in the light of G.O. (Ms).No.165 Finance (Health Insurance) Department dated 01.06.2022.
3. The petitioner claims that he has spent a sum of Rs.4,47,610/- and Rs.2,41,725/- for taking treatment for Covid-19. However, the petitioner has been sanctioned only with a sum of Rs.3,67,821/-. In this regard, the petitioner preferred a representation dated 10.07.2023 to the respondents seeking for medical reimbursement and now, the petitioner makes a claim for remaining amount based upon G.O.(Ms).No.165 Finance (Health Insurance) Department dated 01.06.2022. Unless the petitioner produces the earlier order of sanction, it cannot be known whether the earlier sanction itself be accorded to him only under the scheme contemplated under G.O.(Ms).No.165 Finance (Health Insurance) Department dated 01.06.2022. If the petitioner is still aggrieved, he is at liberty to make an appeal before the District Level Empowered Committee. Without resorting to the statutory avenues of appeal, the Writ Petition has been filed.

4. In view of the same, the petitioner is at liberty to file an appeal before the District Level Empowered Committee within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioner has already filed any appeal before the District Level Empowered Committee, then the District Level Empowered Committee shall pass orders within a period of four weeks therefrom.
5. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
