ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Special Grade Driver of the respondent transport corporation, who had attained superannuation on 30.06.2022, seeking a mandamus for payment of interest for the belated disbursement of terminal benefits.

2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, though he has retired on 30.06.2022, his terminal benefits were only released on 30.05.2023 only. Seeking the interest for the belated disbursement, the petitioner has submitted a representation on 14.06.2024. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to pay 6% interest from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
