PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to call for the records in Crime No.3 of 2018, on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same to the extent of the implicating the petitioners as accused No.2 to 6 in it.

2. Today, when the matters are taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the first respondent has completed investigation and filed final report in Crime No.3 of 2018 and the same has been taken congnizance in C.C. No.319 of 2019 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Manapparai and the same is pending for trial. Therefore, the prayer sought for the petitioners has become infructuous.

3. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petitions are dismissed as infructuous. The petitioners are at liberty to challenge the charge sheet. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
