The learned Senior counsel appearing for the writ petitioner on instructions states that the petition-mentioned land has subsequently been assigned in favour of the petitioner and that the petitioner does not want to pursue the matter.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents disputes the said assertion and categorically states that the petition-mentioned land has been classified as "Ambuli Aaru"poramboke (water-body). Such a land has not been assigned in favour of the petitioner.

3. I do not want to go into the controversy. Since the petitioner does not want to pursue the matter, the writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 11.09.2023 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No PMU 2/4
